As a Senior RF Engineer, You will serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for LMR and Microwave technologies, providing strategic technical guidance in propagation modeling, interference mitigation, and spectrum management. This role also involves supporting business development initiatives by preparing technical proposals, defining project scope, estimating level of effort, and developing implementation plans.

You will also take the leadership role in project execution, ensuring high-quality technical delivery and alignment with client expectations. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and industry-leading vendors to advance wireless communication systems within the utility sector. Occasional travel to client sites will be required for system inspections, testing, and client meetings.

  • Conduct system performance assessments and implement optimization strategies.
  • Develop and review RF system designs, specifications, and documentation in compliance with industry standards.
  • Support business development activities, including proposal creation, scope definition, and cost estimation.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering technical excellence and professional growth.
  • Lead the end-to-end RF engineering lifecycle, including design, modeling, deployment, testing, and optimization.
  • Provide expert technical advice and consulting services to internal teams and external clients.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and company quality assurance processes.

  • Excellent oral and written technical communication skills.
  • Technical Expertise: Advanced understanding of RF design principles, engineering standards, and wireless system architectures.
  • Familiarity with configuring and testing wireless systems across multiple radio vendors.
  • Leadership: Ability to independently apply advanced RF concepts to complex challenges (e.g., interference mitigation) and lead engineering teams on medium to high complexity projects.
  • Consulting mindset with proven quality assurance and presentation skills.
  • Experience: Minimum of 11 years of relevant experience in wireless communications; utility sector experience preferred.
  • Minimum of 11 years of related work experience in RF or wireless communications engineering.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited program (recognized either in the home country or country of practice).
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and complex problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of or experience with RF/Microwave radio equipment configuration is an advantage.
  • Technology Proficiency:
  • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with LMR, Microwave, and LTE systems.
