The role is responsible for producing forged products using crew‑served drop hammers and die forgers. Operators work in dedicated work cells that combine forging machines with auxiliary equipment to meet production requirements.
Key duties include setting up and operating all machinery in the work center, making adjustments to achieve acceptable products, and running various trim presses. Operators verify product quality against manufacturing prints and gauges, wear required personal protective equipment, and keep the workspace clean, organized, and safe while collaborating in a fast‑paced crew environment.
Successful candidates must be able to read and interpret manufacturing prints, work order packets, drawings, and other instruction formats, whether written, oral, or diagrammatic. Physical capability to lift, lower, push, or pull up to 40 lb safely is also required.
Prior forging experience is preferred, and candidates should demonstrate a commitment to a safe work environment, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn.
