The dispatcher will work closely with captains, the Operations Control Centre, air traffic control and airport staff to ensure each flight is properly planned, weighted, fueled and compliant with regulations before departure.
- Review routing, airport suitability, NOTAMs, regulatory restrictions and weather to ensure safe, scheduled flights.
- Discuss flight plans with the Captain to confirm suitability.
- Assess weather reports and relay hazards to pilots.
- Verify aircraft maintenance status and address any issues.
- Check aircraft weight, fuel and cargo loads.
- Coordinate client requirements, routing changes and delays with the Operations Control Centre.
- Communicate departure times and provide status updates to ATC and airport staff.
- Prepare and review the Operational Flight Plan (OFP) with the flight crew before departure.
- Make rapid, decisive decisions regarding safety, regulations and operational efficiency.
- Utilize advanced software, calculators, weather charts and loading reports.
- Apply strong analytical skills to interpret data and create accurate flight plans.
- Collaborate with dispatchers, pilots and OCC staff as a team player.
- Maintain prolonged concentration and focus on safety.
- Work on‑site in Edmonton with a 4‑days on/4‑days off or 1‑week on/1‑week off schedule.

As an experienced Licensed Type A Dispatcher/Flight Dispatcher, you will oversee the scheduling and dispatching of Summit aircraft with safety as the top priority.
