The Senior Consultant – Systems Engineering will lead complex engineering activities for Defence clients, providing technical guidance, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting stakeholder engagement. The role involves managing engineering change proposals, configuration control boards and system working groups, while exercising assigned engineering authorities. A Defence Security Clearance at NV1 level is required, and the position is based in Canberra.
- Perform complex engineering tasks, including ECPs, CCBs and SSWGs.
- Liaise with stakeholders and manage contractors to deliver engineering advice.
- Exercise engineering authority and ensure compliance with regulatory delegations.
- Apply engineering judgment to identify issues and integrate uncertainties into planning.
- Provide expert recommendations to advance engineering principles and regulations.
- Assess and review technical/design packages, scope activities and support implementation.
- Evaluate delivered materials for compliance with policies, legislation and safety standards.
- Monitor safety considerations throughout engineering change management processes.
- Manage team workflows and resources, creating work plans with measurable outcomes.
- Lead and mentor engineering teams, fostering collaboration and positive relationships.

- Hold and maintain a Defence Security Clearance of at least NV1.
