- Maintain historical cost data and productivity benchmarks
- Prepare detailed takeoffs and estimates for commercial drywall, metal framing, acoustical ceilings, EIFS, stucco, and related finishes
- Review drawings, specifications, and bid documents to accurately define scope and pricing
- Solicit, analyze, and level material and vendor pricing
- Track bid schedules and ensure timely submission of proposals
- Assist with change order pricing as needed
- Develop complete and competitive bid proposals for general contractors and ownership groups
- Collaborate with project management and operations teams to ensure smooth handoff from preconstruction to execution
- Participate in scope reviews, value engineering discussions, and bid clarifications

A well-established commercial drywall and specialty finishes subcontractor in the DFW market is seeking an Estimator or Senior Estimator to support preconstruction and bidding efforts across a diverse portfolio of interior and exterior finish projects. This role requires direct subcontractor-side estimating experience with commercial drywall, acoustical ceilings, EIFS, stucco, and related scopes. Candidates with General Contractor–only estimating backgrounds will not be considered.
Subcontractor Experience Required
- You do not have direct subcontractor-side estimating responsibility
- Experience bidding DFW-area projects such as healthcare, education, multifamily, hospitality, office, industrial, or large commercial developments
- Senior-level estimating experience with bid leadership responsibility
- Strong understanding of subcontractor pricing, labor productivity, and material procurement
- Your estimating experience is limited to General Contractor roles only
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and subcontract scopes
- E-Verify participant
- 3+ years of estimating experience with a commercial drywall and specialty finishes subcontractor
- Experience bidding multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with estimating software and digital takeoff tools
- Hands-on estimating experience for drywall, metal framing, acoustical ceilings, EIFS, stucco, and related scopes
