The Leasing Associate is responsible for showing and leasing apartments to prospective tenants, handling inquiries, and guiding prospects through the application and move‑in process.
Key duties include responding to phone and internet inquiries, scheduling virtual, self‑guided, and in‑person tours, qualifying prospects using lead management software, processing applications with credit checks, and obtaining community manager approval. The associate also shows apartments, closes sales, prepares move‑in paperwork, provides community orientation, maintains the property’s social‑media presence, and resolves resident complaints to promote satisfaction and retention.
Candidates should have an associate’s degree or equivalent experience (six months to one year), be proficient with Microsoft Office and property‑management software, and possess a valid driver’s license.
Physical requirements include extended periods of sitting, occasional stair climbing, the ability to lift up to 20 lb, and use of mobile devices. The role is primarily office‑based on‑site but may involve occasional outdoor work and exposure to a noisy, open‑plan environment.
