- Provide in-process design reviews of electrical system design, calculations, and specifications. Implement IMEG quality control processes to ensure that engineering designs and solutions meet IMEG quality standards, industry standards and client requirements;
- Prioritize safety in all aspects of engineering work. Identify and mitigate potential safety risks associated with electrical systems;
- Oversee projects through bidding and construction administration phase.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in electrical engineering. Contribute to research, development, and innovation efforts within IMEG;
- Analyze engineering problems and propose innovative solutions. Collaborate with senior engineers and consultants to develop practical and efficient solutions;
- Identify potential project problems and seek advice from the Project Manager;
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including other engineers, architects, and project managers, to deliver integrated solutions that meet project goals;
- Interact with clients to understand their needs, gather project requirements, and communicate technical information effectively. Build and maintain client relationships through professional communication;
- Lead design efforts for the analysis of electrical systems, utilizing engineering software and tools to create detailed designs, specifications, and calculations according to code requirements and IMEG standards;
- Work as part of a project team to support the execution of consulting projects. Lead efforts in project planning, budgeting, and scheduling tasks to meet project deadlines and objectives. Document design decisions and instructions from clients while monitoring project design progress as related to percent complete and fee expended;

- Associates degree, or certificate, in Building Information Modeling (BIM) or Engineering preferred;
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment;
- Proficient with MS Office Suite including but not limited to Word, Excel, and Outlook;
- Proficient with industry standard engineering software and tools including lighting photometric calculation software such as AGI, Elum Tools, Visual Lighting, or other; power system analysis and design software such as SKM/PTW, Easy Power, or other; and proficiency in the use of BIM software and CTC Revit Add In Tools;
- Strong technical and analytical skills including knowledge of principles relating to circuit theory, electromagnetism, power systems, and electronics as they relate to electrical systems design for buildings;
- Proficient with energy compliance software such as ComCheck; Adobe or Bluebeam Revu; the use of reference material resources such as NFPA Link, TechStreet, MadCAD, and Facility Guideline Institution (FGI);
- 7 years of experience minimum required, 8 preferred, in the building design consulting;
- Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent required;
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills;
- Proficiency in Smart Engineering Design Assist (SET) Tools within Revit for electrical calculations, coordination, properties, etc. Knowledge of Master Specification editing and software such as eSPECS;
- Engineering In Training (EIT) Certification preferred;
- Knowledge of Illumination Engineering Society (IES) Standards;
- Proficiency in design techniques, tools, and concepts involved in the production of technical plans and specifications;
- Ability to travel up to 10% with occasional overnight stays.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; Ability to clearly communicate in both oral and written communication to individuals or groups;
- Ability to train and mentor less experienced staff;
