Element is hiring a Department Supervisor to act as a central figure in the department’s safety program and to oversee the efficient completion of daily technical work. The supervisor will serve as the main on‑site liaison for customers and will work closely with technicians, peers, the Department Manager, Operations Manager, and General Manager.
- Lead department safety initiatives and enforce Element safety guidelines.
- Supervise lab technical staff and coordinate timely completion of daily work.
- Provide prompt internal and external customer service, including status updates and quotations.
- Collaborate with technicians and support departments to define testing scopes and deliver required items.
- Assist in preparing complex quotes and deliver accurate estimates to customers.
- Participate in hiring decisions, performance management, overtime approval, and time‑card validation.
- Interpret customer needs and translate them into testing results and reports.
- Track multiple testing projects from start to finish, managing daily communications and follow‑ups.
- Maintain strong laboratory safety knowledge and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
- Apply basic algebra, geometry, and computer skills for data analysis and documentation.
