The Role
Overview
Assist in civil engineering projects, managing construction, drawings, and field work.

Tasks
-Provides technical project management for all phases of a construction project. -Attends/leads project meetings, provides project estimates and reviews work plans for construction activities. -Researches the feasibility of alternative design approaches, site conditions, and/or regulatory agency specifications or regulations. -Performs field observations of construction activities where appropriate. -Providing leadership and mentoring for less experienced engineers. -Creates drawings, specifications, contract documents to be used for construction, and conducting engineer studies. -Reviews contractor schedules, project activities, inspector reports, material submittals -Works on projects involving construction activities by reviewing shop drawings for conformance with specifications; assists in recordkeeping and in generating progress reports; and observes construction procedures. -Conducts engineering investigations and plans work by completing tasks which may include collection and analysis of data using established procedures, performance of engineering calculations, and participation in evaluating the feasibility of alternate solutions.

-Effective written, interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work as part of a team involving staff, clients and outside agencies -Ability to make good decisions using sound, professional judgment -Results oriented and able to complete tasks on deadline with little supervision -Minimum 2-3 years work experience in similar role -Strong problem-solving skills -B.S.E Civil Engineering - EIT required (PE preferred) -Prior leadership experience a plus -Good interpersonal skills -Proficient using Microsoft Office (Word & Excel) and AutoCAD -Strong organizational skills, including an ability to prioritize activities and work with limited supervision
