Work with practice and office leadership, client development, business development and industry participation to advance your career and STV’s growth.
Interact with client management teams, engineers in other technical disciplines, and marketing teams. Support proposal development.
Design roadway geometrics, roadway modeling and cross section development, traffic control, signing and pavement markings, utility coordination and right-of-way plan development.
Establish working relationships and interface with client technical staff and project managers.
Develop technical and price proposals.
Mentor supporting Civil design staff.
Become an active member of our Client Service Teams supporting proposal development and business development activities
Coordinate design development and assisting with technical direction to other design staff.
Coordinate with the design team to achieve quality deliverables within the established schedule and budget.
Assist with the development of specifications, cost estimates, and technical reports.
Quality control oversight for highway engineering tasks
Provide professional design services for transportation projects for multiple agencies including PennDOT, Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission (PTC) and City of Pittsburgh.

Minimum of 12 years of experience as a highway engineer
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering.
Experience in design of highway projects.
Ability to mentor and coach junior engineers
Pennsylvania Professional Engineer (PE)
Professional Licensure and Society Memberships
Experience with PennDOT and/or PTC as well as other transportation agencies
Proficiency in MicroStation, Bentley software (OpenRoads) and Microsoft Office.
