  • You will continuously interact with a wide range of external stakeholders from policy makers and research institutes to key power industry companies. Lead stakeholder influencing actions to change their investment strategy in close co-operation with other Energy Business functions/areas.
  • Manage the making of market-specific power system analyses, meaningful power generation investment scenarios, market level value propositions, and business proposals to target customers.
  • Drive change in long-term strategy and short-term tendering requirements of utilities in key markets
  • Identify, prioritise and interact with key external stakeholders and decision-makers from utilities, policymakers, consultants, and financiers in selected target countries. Develop a strong on-the-ground network for your focal areas and target countries.
  • Develop and execute the market development strategy and action plans for selected countries in the LATAM & Caribbean Area area for thermal balancing and base load solutions.
  • Identify and prioritize key decision makers from customers and stakeholders in selected target countries.
  • Drive Latam growth by originating new business opportunities determine prospects for opening other new markets for Wartsila's flexible generation.
  • Develop internal relationships to leverage the team output (Business Development, Area Sales, etc.), coordinate and synchronize activities with the Latam & Caribbean sales organizations.

  • Minimum of five years of experience in the power or energy industry.
  • Full professional fluency in Spanish is required.
  • A Master’s degree in Energy, Business Management, or a related field is preferred; equivalent professional experience will also be considered.
  • Demonstrated capability to present complex topics in a plain language.
  • Willingness and ability to travel internationally up to 40% of the time.
  • Excellent communication, influencing and public speaking skills.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the energy sector, power generation structures and electricity market design
  • Understanding of power system and electricity market modelling, and value proposition development
  • Entrepreneurial attitude, goal oriented with skills to develop solutions for the clients
  • Excellent command in spoken and written English.
