In this position you will source, attract and engage qualified engineering and technical candidates across the AEC sector, develop and maintain a robust talent pipeline, and manage every stage of the hiring process—from job posting and outreach through offer negotiation and onboarding. You will partner with hiring managers to understand staffing requirements, utilize tools such as LinkedIn Recruiter and job boards, and represent Civil Science at industry events and university recruiting programs to build brand awareness. Maintaining accurate candidate records in the ATS and collaborating with the Talent Acquisition Manager to continuously improve recruitment processes are also key duties.
Civil Science is looking for a motivated and experienced Engineering Recruiter with a background in the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industry. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of sourcing and hiring top talent, overseeing the full recruitment lifecycle, and working closely with hiring managers to fulfill critical staffing needs. This role also offers opportunities to represent the firm at career fairs, networking events, and industry conferences to attract high‑quality candidates.
The role requires at least four years of recruiting experience, preferably within the AEC or related technical fields, and a demonstrated ability to fill challenging engineering positions through innovative strategies. Candidates should possess strong communication, relationship‑building, and organizational skills, be comfortable managing multiple requisitions in a fast‑paced environment, and be familiar with ATS and sourcing platforms such as Greenhouse, LinkedIn Recruiter, and Indeed. Knowledge of industry roles, employment best practices, and recruitment metrics is essential.
The position involves prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer, with occasional lifting of up to 20 pounds and the ability to squat, bend, and lift during on‑site recruiting activities.
