The VP and GM of North America and Global Commercial Excellence reports to the President of Hach and is accountable for driving sales and profitability. The role has direct revenue responsibility for approximately $600 million, with potential to more than double in the next five to ten years. Working closely with the President, the leader will provide the structure, people, plans and systems needed to accelerate revenue growth in the North American market.
In this position the executive will develop and execute a transformative business strategy that leverages Hach’s technology foundation, as well as channel and customer plans to aggressively grow sales, service, installed base and market share. The primary focus is on leading the organization to meet sales and operating profit targets while delivering timely and accurate forecasting. Maintaining strong industry relationships to quickly build trust with key customers is essential.
Key responsibilities include full P&L ownership for North America, defining and executing a comprehensive commercial strategy, and championing value‑based selling and funnel management. The role also drives profitable service growth, translates market insights into product innovation, leads Kaizen and continuous‑improvement initiatives, and partners on M&A activities. Talent development, succession planning and building a high‑engagement culture are integral to the function.
The position requires a bachelor’s degree (MBA preferred) and at least 15 years of proven commercial and business leadership experience, with a strong track record of revenue growth for new and existing products and services. Candidates must demonstrate strategic agility, financial modeling expertise, deep knowledge of the North American water market, and the ability to lead in both direct‑line and matrixed environments. High cultural sensitivity, an entrepreneurial mindset and superior interpersonal and communication skills are also required.
The compensation range is $345,000 – $500,000 annually, plus bonus/incentive pay, and the role is eligible for a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, paid time off and 401(k).
