What you would be doing

- Document lab procedures and workflows.
- Design and build prototypes, test fixtures/ or other custom solutions.
- Making electrification upgrades possible
- Building more resilient homes with reliable backup
- Enabling homes and vehicles powered by clean energy
- Collaborate with multiple teams (hardware, electrical, firmware, etc.) to generate ideas and iterate on prototypes.
- Designing a flexible and distributed electrical grid
- Read and interpret technical drawings for prototype creation.
- Operate and program CNC milling centers, routers, and 3D printers.
- Maintain records of equipment maintenance, calibration, and repairs.
- Fabricate metal and plastic parts using various tools.
- Maintain a safe, clean work environment.

- Comfort with Atlassian Suite (Jira, Confluence, Trello).
- Experience with Haas controls and G-Code.
- Proficiency with common shop tools and equipment (drills, saws, etc).
- Experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Experience with home electrical wiring and similar contractor skills.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Experience with electrical (AC and DC) and mechanical systems.
- Familiarity with the hardware prototyping process.
- First aid / AED / CPR training.
- Comfortable adapting and learning new concepts and processes.
- Experience with electrical instrumentation (DMMs, Oscilloscopes, etc).
- HS Diploma with 5+ years related experience.
- Proficiency with 3D CAD software and rapid prototyping tools.
