Under the guidance of a Lead Technician, Fleet Maintenance Supervisor, or Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Technician A repairs and maintains diesel and non‑diesel equipment and trucks, including chassis components, refuse bodies, air brake systems, engines, HVAC, suspension, drivetrain, and steering. The role offers the chance to work on a single fleet of state‑of‑the‑art vehicles, receive training on new technologies, and enjoy a stable, regular shift with competitive wages and benefits.
Key duties involve advanced knowledge and hands‑on repair of chassis, hydraulic and electrical refuse bodies, air and hydraulic brakes, engines, suspension, drivetrain, steering, HVAC, and welding/fabrication. Technicians diagnose malfunctions using electronic tools, complete company training programs, and perform on‑site and road‑side maintenance as needed.
Applicants need at least three years of heavy‑duty truck experience and must be able to inspect and repair systems such as suspensions, engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical, hydraulics, and diesel emissions with limited supervision. ASE Heavy Truck certifications, LNG/CNG experience, and a Class B CDL are preferred but not required. A valid driver’s license is mandatory.
