- Design protection schemes for breaker controls, line relaying, bus relaying, and both internal and external station communications.
- Utilize Vault and ProjectWise for project documentation to track design modifications and new designs.
- Create and modify single line diagrams, three-line diagrams, AC & DC schematics, wiring diagrams, and cable schedules using AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, and MicroStation.
- Mentor less experienced designers.
- Handle complex projects with minimum supervision.
- Implement part naming and numbering conventions, and manage file naming and protocols.
- Create drawings for projects using the latest standards.
- Coordinate with team members from other departments involved in a design project.
- Check and validate project drawings and those of peers and subordinates.

- Four plus years of experience designing schematics, wiring diagrams, single line diagrams, and schematics.
- Four plus years of electrical design experience using MicroStation and AutoCAD.
- Associate degree in applied science (AAS) in drafting and computer-aided (CAD) design or in civil, electrical, or mechanical engineering technology, or equivalent experience and/or education.
- Proficient in AutoCAD Electrical.
