The engineer will cultivate internal and external client relationships through regular face‑to‑face meetings, lead technical or project teams, and prepare proposals for moderate to complex work. They will develop and execute full project scopes, produce engineering reports that offer professional opinions and practical geotechnical solutions, and oversee project scope, schedule, and budget. Additionally, they will perform engineering analyses using company and industry standards, mentor junior staff, and ensure compliance with corporate health and safety policies.
Successful candidates are driven, detail‑oriented, and capable of multitasking while staying highly organized. They possess strong leadership, analytical, and interpersonal skills, can work independently or as part of a team, and are proficient in creating, maintaining, and communicating project budgets. Excellent written and verbal communication, problem‑solving abilities, and willingness to travel up to 25 % of the time are also required.
A Bachelor’s degree in geotechnical, civil, or a related engineering field is required, with a Master’s degree preferred, and at least six years of geotechnical engineering experience. Experience in client relationship management, vendor coordination, and team leadership is advantageous, and candidates must hold—or be able to obtain within six months—a Professional Engineer license. The role also requires the ability to lift 30‑50 lb periodically.
