The Driller assists with transporting and operating heavy equipment, sets up and maintains drilling rigs, drills elevator jack holes and large‑diameter well holes, ensures proper casing installation, monitors hole depth and conditions, adheres to safety procedures, troubleshoots equipment issues, keeps accurate records, communicates with the Drilling Manager, and supervises crew members on site.
- Transport and operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently.
- Set up, operate, and maintain drilling rigs, hammer drills, rotary tables, and slush pumps.
- Drill elevator jack holes and large‑diameter well holes (20”–30”) with precise measurements.
- Install and cement steel casings, connecting sections and setting them correctly.
- Monitor hole depth and drilling conditions, adjusting as needed.
- Follow all safety procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Identify and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions or hole instability.
- Keep accurate drilling records of depths, materials, and issues.
- Communicate updates and resolve concerns with the Drilling Manager.
- Supervise drilling helpers, assistants, and crew members on site.
- Maintain CDL logs in compliance with DOT regulations.
- Travel overnight or on extended assignments; work in all weather conditions.

The role requires the ability to lift up to 50 lb, maintain CDL logs, travel overnight, work in all weather and loud environments, and be available for overtime. Strong time‑management, teamwork or independent work capability, and good physical stamina are essential.
