The Asset Management and Sustainability area develops asset policies, strategies and investment plans, drives the sustainability and innovation agenda, and leads environmental regulation and compliance. The Asset Investment Team manages end‑to‑end investment planning and portfolio management, monitors progress against outcomes, and reports to internal and external stakeholders.
Reporting to the Asset Planning Portfolio Technical Manager, the Asset Planning Portfolio Lead will support the Capital Investment Plan, manage change at the planning stage, and aid the transition of investments to Infrastructure Delivery, while providing performance reporting to senior management.
General duties include collaborating with internal stakeholders, championing health and safety across the organisation and supply chain, supporting the Uisce Éireann Transformation Programme, and complying with information security and cyber‑security regulations.
- Support development of Uisce Éireann’s Capital Investment Plans
- Manage and monitor the planning stage of the investment portfolio with Asset Management, Infrastructure Delivery, Finance and Economic Regulation
- Provide regular updates on progress against commitments
- Analyse the investment portfolio to identify optimisation opportunities
- Implement standards and best practices in the Copperleaf Asset Planning system
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with stakeholders to drive evidence‑based decisions
- Produce reports on cost estimates, schedules, outcomes, Delta OPEX and transition planning
- Set and monitor performance indicators for the investment portfolio
- Conduct trend analysis to identify and escalate risks or issues
- Ensure compliance with processes and procedures
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders across Uisce Éireann
- Promote and deliver health and safety commitments across the organisation and supply chain
- Support the Uisce Éireann Transformation Programme and organisational objectives
- Adhere to Information Security policies and cybersecurity regulations

Applicants should have a relevant third‑level qualification, at least five years’ experience in water utilities or a similar sector, advanced Excel and data‑analysis skills, and be comfortable learning new enterprise systems such as Copperleaf. Strong analytical, interpersonal and people‑management abilities, and a commitment to health, safety and well‑being are essential.
- Minimum five years’ experience in water utilities or a related industry
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data‑analysis/visualisation tools
- Experience with enterprise systems, preferably Copperleaf Asset Investment Planning
- Strong analytical skills with ability to derive insights from large datasets
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to build stakeholder relationships
- Demonstrated people‑management and change‑management experience
- Ability to identify and escalate risks based on data trends
