The co‑op program offers on‑site and hybrid roles, and applicants must be able to work at the assigned location. This is a multi‑term student program requiring a minimum of 16 hours per week for two or more terms before graduation (e.g., Winter, Summer, Fall).
DTE is currently staffing students in disciplines such as electrical, mechanical, industrial, chemical, construction, environmental science, data analytics, IT (Power BI, SharePoint), forestry, human resources, accounting/finance, meteorology, GIS, and business administration. Undeclared majors are considered if they intend to pursue one of these fields.
To be eligible, students must be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program, be at least 18 years old, maintain a minimum 2.5 GPA, and commit to 16 hours weekly across multiple terms. Required documentation includes an official college transcript or, for high‑school seniors, a college acceptance letter. Some roles may require a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
