  • You will also be responsible for handing over the order to the project management and the engineering departments in charge.
  • You drive the conceptual solution development, including project screening, to develop unique selling propositions for all opportunities the business proposes.
  • You will analyze customer requirements and translate them into a competitive offer with the involvement of an interdisciplinary team of engineers and businesspeople.
  • You determine costs and the associated delivery time for the scope of delivery you have planned.
  • You consistently coordinate the project status and autonomously ensure clear and detailed communication within the project team and the collaborating specialist departments.
  • You ensure that proposals are submitted promptly, within financial constraints, and meeting remarkable quality benchmarks.
  • You check the technical feasibility of the machine concepts you develop and identify project risks or opportunities.
  • As Bid Manager you will be responsible for tender preparation, tender coordination, and tender tracking of (sophisticated) turbo compressor projects for our international customers in the air separation, oil & gas, metallurgy, and chemical industry.
  • You conduct project negotiations together with the sales team at home and abroad and represent your quotation to the customer.
  • You handle the internal network with Project Management, Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Procurement, etc.
  • You build turbo compressors with the aid of technical calculation programs.

  • Degree or equivalent experience in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 1 to 5 years’ experience in the energy industry preferably with turbo machines.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • High collaboration skills and ability to work optimally in an international network
  • Proven success in handling sophisticated global customer base.
  • Global cultural sensitivity while working with a team with complex strengths.
  • Excellent communication and social skills.
  • Strong team building skills.
  • Deep product knowledge of integrally geared compressors is of advantage.
  • Experience in the development of winning proposals for integrally geared compression projects in the low specifications as well as high specification market.
