Logistics Analyst

Description

Position Summary: The Logistics Analyst is responsible for data distribution and utilization of continuous improvement tools to support our customers' supply chain solutions in current and future operations. A Penske Logistics Analyst works collaboratively as a liaison between Operations and other Penske support groups, providing technical support, documenting and creating process flows, compiling and delivering customer reports/metrics, and managing error resolution.

• Provide technical support and prioritize system solutions.
• Respond to user inquiries, isolate problems, and support implementation.
• Support carrier compliance and performance scorecard.
• Ensure system changes are accurate with limited impact.
• Leverage quantitative and qualitative data to inform decisions, identify trends, and drive outcomes.
• Follow tasks and projects to completion using project management principles.
• Lead and coordinate crisis management response efforts.
• Generate daily reports, extract data from transportation/BI systems, and format for interpretation to improve efficiency and on‑time performance.
• Meet customer deadlines and deliver required metrics/reports via data extraction.
• Participate in process improvement teams using Lean tools.
• Resolve situations quickly, communicate status, and collaborate with subject matter experts for problem resolution and implementations.
• Interact with the network by phone, email, or in person as needed.
• Apply established business rules for daily error management.
