Arranges, coordinates, and oversees technical inspections such as electrical, mechanical, and plumbing for conformance to specification requirements.
Visits construction sites and inspects each stage of construction up to completion. Interpret plans, specifications, and codes and verify contract work is performed in accordance with them.
Provide training for MEP inspectors.
Assist in maintaining, supporting, and promoting a safe work environment while complying with LACMTA’s safety rules, policies, and procedures.
Monitoring and installation of emergency radial fans and installation of station air handler units / dampers / filter banks, transformers, metering switch gears.
Review or prepare interim progress reports for contractor payments. Monitor contractor-testing activities. Prepare reports on labor, material, and equipment on site.
Maintains daily activity logs and reports.
Monitor construction sites for safety violations.
Allocate inspection resources, train and supervise inspectors.

Knowledge of High and low voltage electrical systems inspection and testing (elevators, escalators, HVAC, Fire alarm, lighting, blue lights, CCTV, PA, transformers, metering switch gears, traction power, etc.
ICC Certificate of Mechanical/Electrical/Plumbing,
Approximately ten (10) years of MEP experience.
Minimum ten (10) years of experience for Senior positions which reflect a progressively increasing level of responsibility on complex projects of large commercial or industrial construction projects, heavy construction projects, transportation, or transit construction projects for the appropriate disciplines electrical, mechanical and plumbing work.
Cal-OSHA/OSHA 30-Hr safety certification prior to the start of work on the project.
