Transportation Intern (Summer 2026)

Description

• May assist project teams and administrative staff by preparing or compiling studies, memos, reports, spreadsheets and graphs, drawings, calculations, research and other tasks in support of various transportation projects.
• May include some field visits assisting with data gathering for various projects.
• Work as part of a team on projects in Vermont and New England, learning how to develop plans, quantity takeoff, and cost estimating. As part of a design team, there will be opportunities to learn from current professionals at varying career levels.

Requirements

• Previous internship or coop experience in similar type work or office environment is a plus.
• Willingness to perform field visits, as needed.
• Microsoft Office experience is a plus.
• Must be a college student working towards a bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
• Ability to join Stantec committees, employee resource groups, participate in community volunteering, and join various company or local groups/initiatives.
• Experience with AutoCAD and/or Civil 3D, MicroStation and/or OpenRoads Designer, ArcGIS, and/or Adobe Creative Suite software is a plus.
• Ability to work alongside others who share your passion to support communities through exciting and unique projects.
• Must have good organizational and time management skills, be punctual, reliable, detail oriented, and capable of taking initiative and working independently when needed.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills in both office and virtual environments.
