- Obtain and complete all necessary insurance authorizations promptly, with knowledge of insurance benefits, in/out of network requirements, pre-determination services, and medical necessity.
- Receive referrals, verify completeness and appropriateness, and communicate with referral sources for additional information as needed.
- Process and track referrals and diagnostic orders.
- Maintain accurate patient records and verify insurance requirements.
- Maintain ongoing tracking and appropriate documentation on referrals, keeping status and outcome of requests to promote and warrant patient care.

- Proficiency in medical assisting and patient coordination.
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems, particularly NexGen.
- Fluency in additional languages is preferred.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and behavioral health.
- Two plus years of related experience preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Medical Assistant training/certification preferred.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing.
- Demonstrate a high level of listening skills.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
