  • Obtain and complete all necessary insurance authorizations promptly, with knowledge of insurance benefits, in/out of network requirements, pre-determination services, and medical necessity.
  • Receive referrals, verify completeness and appropriateness, and communicate with referral sources for additional information as needed.
  • Process and track referrals and diagnostic orders.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and verify insurance requirements.
  • Maintain ongoing tracking and appropriate documentation on referrals, keeping status and outcome of requests to promote and warrant patient care.

  • Proficiency in medical assisting and patient coordination.
  • Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems, particularly NexGen.
  • Fluency in additional languages is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology and behavioral health.
  • Two plus years of related experience preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Medical Assistant training/certification preferred.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing.
  • Demonstrate a high level of listening skills.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
