  • Ensure timely resolution of customer complaints and internal non-conformities using 8D methodology, including root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Produce and maintain control plans, capability data, SOPs, validation plans and other customer or internal documentation.
  • Work with the Raw Material Manager to resolve supplier quality issues and manage supplier performance through audits and reporting.
  • Support production teams in ensuring compliance with quality management systems and driving process improvements.
  • Ensure safe and environmentally responsible working practices in line with company procedures.
  • Champion APQP, reviewing projects, resolving or escalating non-conformities.
  • Support DFMEA, PFMEA, MSA and other quality tools to enhance capability.
  • Conduct audits, prepare reports, and manage corrective and preventive actions.
  • Define and communicate customer quality requirements, ensuring alignment with manufacturing capability.
  • Lead product and process improvement studies across the organisation, including SPC and Six Sigma initiatives.
  • Maintain departmental procedures, QA records, samples and archives.

  • Experience using ERP systems.
  • Demonstrable experience in internal and customer audits.
  • Excellent planning, organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • HNC or Degree in an engineering discipline (or equivalent experience).
  • 5 years’ experience in an ISO9001 environment (plastics, automotive, or relevant industry), with at least 2 years’ experience of problem-solving using quality tools.
  • Proven ability to lead quality activities within cross-functional teams.
  • Analytical thinker able to interpret data and drive improvement opportunities.
  • High level of IT literacy (Microsoft Office Suite).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage at all levels internally and externally.
  • Strong knowledge of quality systems and processes, including APQP, FMEA, control plans, MSA, 8D, SOPs.
  • Six Sigma qualification.
