Support manufacturing, assembly, service, and aftermarket issues promptly as they arise to keep production on target and the fleet in operation.
Present and defend design solutions and technical work to program leadership and other stakeholders.
Create detailed component definition (drawings and/or model-based definition) in accordance with module, system, and customer interface requirements.
Support the supply chain in procuring hardware including review of supplier documentation, assessment of non-conforming hardware, and review of supplier change proposals.
Create component design definition
Create dimensional tolerance stacks, establish Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) requirements, and support manufacturing to produce conforming hardware.
Perform a leadership role in investigations of in-service and/or development hardware issues including Engine Investigations, failure analysis, root cause / corrective action (RCCA), Technical Variance consultation, reporting, and documentation. Share findings with the global turbomachinery team in accordance with export control regulations.
Review and approve component requirements for their responsible sub-system’s hardware. Develop, approve, and execute validation plans to demonstrate compliance to the requirements.

Experience with computer programming and design optimization.
Experience with turbine component design methods and practices to include component integrity,
Structural Analysis, Thermals and Lifing spreadsheets.
Master’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering OR;
Experience working with Siemens NX, Teamcenter and/or ANSYS Workbench.
Experience working with manufacturing and/or quality, especially with regards to the assessment of non-conforming hardware.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 2+ years of experience in design engineering, Mechanical and/or Aerospace Engineering OR;
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 5+ years of experience in design engineering, Mechanical and/or Aerospace Engineering
Master’s degree in in Engineering with 3+ years of experience in design engineering, Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
Experience with coatings and their application within turbine and hot section systems.
Experience with the definition release process and GD&T.
Broader experience with rotating and static component design in highly stressed or critical assemblies.
JD/PHD in Engineering.
