Keeps Trade Specialist abreast of changes to original VDC scope throughout the process
Generates all VC deliverables including assembly drawings for manufacturing, field installation drawings & details, BOM’s and kit of parts
Provides input to Trade Specialist to establish means & methods for electrical assemblies, prefabrication, kitting & installation practices.
Supports the designer by developing and providing details, means and methods, sizing, code compliance on design build, design assist and integrated projects for permit submittal.
Works with the Trade Specialist to establish means & methods for assemblies, prefabrication, kitting & installation practices
Identifies construction requirements for projects based on estimate, scope, contract, page turn and specifications.
Compiles information/documentation from all internal project meetings, such as construction schedule, BIM/preconstruction schedule, work orders and kitting opportunities and works with the Project Manager and Foreman to get deliverables and due dates.
Applies detailing and prefabrication strategies to a design during the virtual construction process and translates those strategies to the project team at the project start-up through the virtual construction scope.
Works with BIM Modeler to ensure electrical model is accurate and constructable and that it meets code, spec and design intent
Identifies BIM scope of work for each project and works with the Operations team to procure all necessary design and trade partner Cad/Revit files to be used for coordination
Maintains clear communication between VC, Manufacturing, Operations and the field teams
Provides support to field personnel before and during the construction process. Translates the design intent to the field through one-on-one sit-down explaining installation drawings that incorporate assemblies, details, materials, and estimated hours for the projects.
