Description

We are looking for a full-time Senior Municipal Design Engineer for a hybrid position in Southern and Northern CA. The Senior Municipal Design Engineer will oversee and execute design engineering tasks, manage plan production, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to create innovative engineering solutions. Daily responsibilities include developing and reviewing municipal design projects, utilizing CAD tools and Civil 3D for design work, and ensuring compliance with relevant standards and codes. The role also involves mentoring junior engineers and supporting the overall execution of project deliverables.

Requirements

• Strong communications skills and the ability to work independently.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is required
• Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor engineering teams and to collaborate with colleagues effectively.
• Strong knowledge of Civil Engineering principles
• Proficiency in Design Engineering including experience with municipal or infrastructure projects, with an extreme emphasis in grading and pipeline work.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is required.
• Strong communications, problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Advanced skills in Civil 3D for developing technical drawings and project specifications
• 10-20 years of progressive municipal design experience. At least 10 years as a lead civil designer.
