The Role

Overview

Manage and coordinate DCO examination activities and stakeholder communications.

Tasks

-Ensuring quality and consistency in documents submitted to PINS. -Planning and scheduling review team sessions for allocation of responses and timely review of drafts. -Arranging and chair ART meetings. -Ensuring all review, approval and submission dates for each deadline is communicated to the team. -Ensuring the navigation document is updated and submitted for each deadline. -Reviewing Interested party deadline submissions for necessary team responses. -Producing a short consistency manual for use by the team during the examination. -Back check and review documents for any commitments or information for further deadlines. -Updating and communicating the ART feedback log. -Producing detailed covering letters for each deadline. -Coordinating appropriate examination training and briefing sessions. -Working with the document controller on document numbering and naming. -Ensuring team responses are coordinated using provided templates. -Maintaining, tracking, and monitoring the deadline workbook for all written questions, documents, responses to hearing actions, written representations, and further information. -Acting as the single point of contact for the planning inspectorate (PINS) during the examination. -Ensuring all submission documents are received and submitted to PINS on time. -Ensuring templates are populated for the allocation and review team with questions and responses to interested party questions. -Monitoring the PINS website. -Coordinating the production of single responses to written representations. -Creating and delivering persuasive and engaging presentations to wide range of audiences in our industry. -Creating and updating the draft programme based on the rule 6 and rule 8 letters. -Overall management and coordination of all roles in the deadline submissions section.

What You Bring

-Up to 5 yrs experience (or equivalent) supporting the delivery of a stakeholder and communications services within the construction sector and/or management consultancy. -Skilled knowledge of all key office 365 products i.e. MS Teams, MS Office, MS Excel and MS SharePoint. -Experience of dealing with stakeholders at all levels. -Excellent influencing and negotiating skills. -Experience of DCO examinations hearings and preferable past experience in the planning and delivery of these. -Accomplished understanding and experience of the planning act 2008 and infrastructure planning regulations. -Relevant university degree (e.g. construction, engineering) or equivalent. (or equivalent) -Experience of working client side as well as consultancy. Desirable creating and delivering persuasive and engaging presentations to wide range of audiences in our industry. -Project Management Experience. -Understanding of the infrastructure planning (examination procedure) rules 2010 -Track record of developing working relationships quickly and effectively. -Progress towards achievement of chartered status (or equivalent) and/or membership of professional a relevant professional institution e.g. Association of Project Managers. -Practical knowledge/application and understanding of the opportunities related to stakeholder and communications service. Basic knowledge of tools, techniques and software (e.g. MS Excel). -Excellent communication skills.
