Evaluate and select suppliers and subcontractors through the RFT and bidding process
Collaborate with the cost engineering team to ensure compliance with project cost requirements
Coordinate with relevant internal stakeholders, including head office, International Procurement Office (IPO), etc
Support the estimating team in preparing cost plans by providing price indications from the procurement database
Play a lead role in undertaking procurement process for EPC project with excellence in all procurement buying & expediting, logistics, Supplier Quality Surveillance (SQS) disciplines
Manage the day-to-day activities of the project, align with delivery commitments and project plans
Monitor supplier and sub-contractor performance, addressing any issues that may arise
Identify potential suppliers and subcontractors based on project requirements and specifications
Issue purchase orders and sub-contracts in accordance with project requirements
Liaison with clients to understand their procurement requirements
Conduct regular expediting activities to track delivery status and resolve any delays or issues
Review project requirements and technical specifications to identify procurement needs
Resolve any issues or delays related to procurement or delivery of materials and services
Support the negotiation process with selected suppliers and subcontractors for favourable terms
Ensure compliance with relevant procurement laws, regulations, and policies
Collaborate with the internal development team to identify procurement needs by providing input on procurement requirements and specifications during the development phase
Coordinate with the Engineering team for major equipment specifications
Report to management, including head office, by utilising the system to oversee cost control, procurement progress, expediting status, logistics, inspection, test status, and vendor document status

We are seeking an experienced Project Procurement Manager for BESS Project in Sydney, New South Wales.
Tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering or related field
Experience from large-scale projects over $300m
Minimum 8 years of experience in procurement and expediting of high voltage and medium voltage equipment, i.e., step up transformer, switchgear, SCADA
Proven understanding of relevant standards and legislation
Knowledge of project management and cost control principles
Working knowledge of the technical specifications of major electrical equipment required for BESS and Solar projects
Proficient in procurement software and tools (e.g., ERP systems)
Excellent negotiation and contract management skills
Proven experience in leading procurement processes and expediting activities
Advanced attention to detail and accuracy
