Description

As Director of Property and Development Accounting – Industrial, you will apply accounting and finance principles to analyze financial information and prepare reports while coordinating with Lease Administration, Finance Business Partners, Transactions, and external parties. You will oversee treasury functions, funding requests, reserves, and ensure compliance with GAAP across debt modifications, acquisitions, and interest capitalization. Additionally, you will manage general ledger reviews, internal controls, complex ownership structures, audits, tax projections, and guide accounting and operations teams.

• Coordinate with Lease Administration, Finance Business Partners, Transactions, and external representatives.
• Perform treasury duties including bank reconciliations, cash flow projections, and contribution/distribution calculations.
• Review and approve funding requests, reserves, and write‑offs in accordance with loan, JV, and lease agreements.
• Ensure accounting records and reports comply with GAAP, covering debt modifications, acquisitions, dispositions, and interest capitalization.
• Conduct general ledger review and analyze monthly and quarterly property/project reporting.
• Maintain internal controls through documented policies and procedures to preserve record integrity and assets.
• Manage complex ownership/equity structures while monitoring project budgets and forecasts.
• Oversee financial statement and internal audits, as well as tax projections and preparation workpapers.
• Provide guidance to Accounting and Operations teams on complex matters and supervise staff development.
• Conduct performance reviews, compensation recommendations, and training for subordinate accounting personnel.
• Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies; evaluate new programs and technologies.
• Prepare ad‑hoc reports for senior management and external stakeholders.

Requirements

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration and a CPA license, combined with at least six years of professional accounting experience—preferably in public accounting and commercial real‑estate—and three years of management experience. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, effective people management, and the ability to lead and meet deadlines are essential.

• Hold a CPA license and a bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration.
• Minimum six years of professional accounting experience, preferably with public accounting and commercial real‑estate exposure.
• At least three years of management experience overseeing accounting staff.
• Demonstrated strong analytical, organizational, and coordination abilities with excellent verbal and written communication.
