The Mechatronics & Robotics Technician will support the Operations Maintenance team by repairing and maintaining material handling equipment and pneumatic systems throughout the building, as well as installing and servicing automated packaging and distribution equipment. The role also offers the chance to mentor junior technicians and develop advanced technical skills.
Day‑to‑day responsibilities include promoting a safe work environment, completing preventative maintenance with proper documentation, troubleshooting electrical and mechanical issues on MHE such as belts, motors, relays, and photo‑eyes, and managing inventory. The position requires physical stamina for lifting up to 49 lb, standing and walking for 12‑hour shifts, and may involve up to 20 % travel.
Required qualifications are a high school diploma or equivalent, 2+ years of experience repairing material handling equipment, and the ability to work flexible schedules including weekends, nights, and holidays. Preferred qualifications include an associate or higher degree in mechanical or electrical fields, experience with automated conveyor systems, blueprint and schematic reading, familiarity with CMMS, and knowledge of robotic or electromechanical maintenance.
