- Implement safety protocols and quality control procedures within the surveying team.
- Train and mentor junior surveyors and assistants.
- Maintain detailed survey records, field notes, and reports.
- Summary: responsible for leading the surveying operations within tunnelling projects, ensuring precision in alignment, elevations, and control networks. This role involves managing a team of surveyors and coordinating with engineering and construction teams to ensure that all tunnelling activities are executed according to design specifications and project requirements
- Establish and maintain accurate horizontal and vertical control networks within the tunnel.
- Communicate effectively with the design and construction teams to resolve discrepancies or unexpected site conditions.
- Ensure proper calibration, maintenance, and use of surveying equipment (e.g., total stations, digital levels, laser scanners, gyroscopic systems).
- Lead and supervise the surveying team assigned to the tunnel section of the project.
- Coordinate with engineers and construction managers to interpret project plans and provide accurate layout and staking.
- Conduct daily and periodic tunnel alignments, as-built surveys, and monitoring of deformations or displacements.

- Excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with survey software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Trimble Business Center, Leica Cyclone).
- Degree or diploma in Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or related field.
- Ability to lead a team and work under pressure in confined underground environments.
- A minimum of 8 years of experience as a Land Surveyor in underground or tunnel surveying, preferably in major infrastructure projects.
- Vehicle, gas, laptop and phone are provided.
- 22 paid vacation days+ 5 working days of sick leave (100% salary).
- Working hours: Monday to Friday, 9 hours (day shift)- this depends on project demands and hours could be extended- There is the possibility to work some weekends.
