The role supports the Group’s overall strategy by providing HR expertise, acting as the primary HR contact for team restructures and consultation programmes, and representing HR in leadership team meetings for assigned teams.
In talent management, the incumbent facilitates performance reviews, career conversations and promotion cycles, works with the Senior Group HR Business Partner to ensure timely and fair appraisal processes, and coaches managers to build leadership capability and address inappropriate behaviours.
The position oversees recruitment and onboarding, collaborating with the central recruitment team and Early Talent programmes, reviewing job descriptions, managing new‑starter administration, and monitoring probation and permanent‑position confirmations.
For reward, the HR Business Partner assists the Group HRM and central reward team with annual salary and bonus reviews, prepares compensation benchmarking data, processes promotion and salary approvals, and coordinates BonusPlus nominations.
Learning and development responsibilities include partnering with the central L&D team to align training programmes with Group needs, identifying training gaps from people or ER discussions, and delivering ad‑hoc local sessions such as management capability workshops.
Employee relations duties involve handling core ER cases—including misconduct, absence, flexible‑working, grievances and disciplinary actions—supporting investigations, providing timely guidance to staff and managers, and championing diversity, inclusion and wellbeing.
The role analyses HR metrics to spot trends, prepares dashboards and exit‑interview reports for the Group HRM, and uses commercial and organisational awareness to advise on operational improvements and mitigate people‑related risks.
Additional responsibilities include building strong relationships across the Group, supporting other HRBPs as needed, and contributing to HR projects while maintaining a professional, proactive, collaborative and resilient approach.
