Confers with supervisory personnel to resolve complaints and grievances within work force.
Responsible for multiple divisions of work, all aspects of the means and method of construction.
Will function as the overall Site Manager during off rotation for the Site Manager.
Schedule work, including subcontractors. Determine materials, equipment and tools needed. Secure appropriate supply sources. Set up and close out construction site.
Assist in the development and management of project schedule. Prepare estimates in areas of self-performed work and assist in complete project estimate.
Will meet with the customer and refer all customer requested changes to the SM and PM for proper disposition.
Assist in developing scopes of work for review and approval.
Assist in the preparation of various reports, i.e. cost to complete, monthly billings and status reports, progress tracking
Assist in pricing work, draft changes and change orders and in ensuring customer satisfaction with the project.
Confers with and directs supervisory personnel and subcontractors engaged in planning and executing work procedures, interpreting specification, and coordinating various phases of construction to prevent delays.
Responsible for the communication, implementation and enforcement of Gray’s safety program on site.
Responsible for procurement of tools and materials to be delivered at specified times to conform to work schedules.
Will work with city officials, OSHA, and inspectors throughout the duration of the project. Ensure required inspections are conducted per the project specifications and documents and proper documentation is kept
Assist Coordinating and managing on-site construction activities from pre-start-up to completion.
Serve as on-site safety when one is not specifically assigned to the project, able to stop work, discipline team members, and remove team members/subcontractors from the site in the absence of the Site Manager.
May provide expert advice as it relates to a specific division of work.
Establish and maintain high safety and quality standards in accordance to company and industry standards.
Solicit prices from subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers for review and approval. Assist in selection of qualified bidders, negotiate final prices, draft subcontracts and purchase orders.
Review all drawings, i.e. shop, architectural, structural, etc. when they are issued to the field and coordinate and maintain a current set at all times.
Prepares or review reports on progress, materials used and costs, and adjusts work schedules as indicated by reports.
Studies specifications to plan procedures for construction on basis of starting and completion times and staffing requirements for each phase of construction. Implements procedures and assists in identifying staffing needs.
Depending on the size of the project may function as a Site Manager for small projects (under 5 million).
Assist in locating, evaluating, and selecting potential subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers as it related to the General Conditions budget.

Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school AND a minimum of three years of construction experience OR a minimum five years related construction experience with increasing responsibility in lieu of a degree.
Experience within the light/heavy industrial sector highly desired.
Strong people management skills.
MS project and other scheduling software a plus.
Able to make decisions regarding safety and quality on the spot to make improvements, without further approval. Will resolve issues and act on behalf of management while keeping the financial impact of decisions in mind as it relates to potential out of scope items
Excellent leadership, organizational, communication, and problem solving skills.
Must posses the ability to think for his/herself and be able to manage without direction having to be given.
Must be able to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings, financial reports, and legal/contract documents.
Must possess a strong work ethic and be an energetic, self-motivated individual who enjoys a team environment, as well as a passion for collaboration and professional development.
Must possess basic computer skills including the ability to utilize Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.), tablets and smartphones.
