The role is for a Procurement Consultant in the Columbus, OH area, reporting to a Category Manager and working with cross‑functional teams to acquire high‑value goods and services needed for reliable energy delivery.
- Procure high‑value or complex goods and services aligned with business requirements.
- Assess requirements and develop sourcing strategies under Category Manager guidance.
- Conduct market, supplier, and spend analyses to shape category strategies and RFX solicitations.
- Lead cross‑functional category teams through sourcing events and negotiations.
- Draft and manage contracts, including pricing, performance criteria, terms, conditions, and risk mitigations.
- Maintain effective relationships with business partners and suppliers to support category goals.
- Coordinate with the Service Center to align transactional and customer support services.
- Oversee logistics for high‑value equipment, including transportation and storage requirements.
- Manage contract compliance, economic price adjustments, replacement and credit programs.
- Leverage contract knowledge to mitigate risks and maximize contract value.

- Experience in supply‑chain category management, especially within utilities, manufacturing, or construction.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, time‑management, and multi‑project leadership abilities.
