Heavy Equipment Field Technician (Mechanic)

Description

As a Field Technician, you’ll use our tech to create, assign, and monitor work orders, track machine service intervals, order parts, and diagnose issues faster by pulling data from hundreds of makes and models. Real‑time information lets you determine root causes quickly, enabling you to work smarter, not harder.

• Practice safe job practices when repairing equipment
• Perform maintenance and repair of complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on rental and customer equipment
• Assist in training lower‑level technicians as needed
• Maintain complete and timely electronic documentation of work performed
• Assist with equipment and parts pick‑up and delivery
• Travel to customer sites for repairs, maintaining a clean and professional service vehicle
• Participate in year‑round company‑provided OEM training

Requirements

• Use laptops and tablets comfortably for technology tools
• Understand OSHA requirements (preferred)
• Own applicable tools for the position
• Advanced mechanical aptitude and tool knowledge
• Extensive knowledge of construction equipment and ability to read schematics and diagrams
• Superior customer service, teamwork, and verbal/written communication skills
• High school diploma; trade school certificate preferred
• Field service, maintenance, and repair experience preferred
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable record; must be 21+ to operate company vehicle
• Ability to move, stand, stoop, and bend freely
• Ability to lift up to 50 lb occasionally
• May need to be clean‑shaven for certain worksites
• Position is safety‑sensitive; requires passing a 10‑panel drug screen

Mechanics will have the opportunity to work on the newest fleet in the industry. Schedule is Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM with overtime after 40 hours and on‑call weekends only in special circumstances.
