We are looking for a Part Time Line Cook to join our amazing team! The role involves providing high‑level culinary customer service, working closely with the Director of Culinary Services and Executive Director to keep residents satisfied, and maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary kitchen environment.
- Provide fine‑dining culinary service and promote a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Open and/or close the kitchen, adhering to cleaning schedules and sanitation standards.
- Receive, store, and prepare food according to company standards; document temperatures.
- Estimate daily/weekly food and supply needs and communicate them to culinary leadership.
- Prepare and cook meals following recipes and approved menus; assist with special events, banquets, and theme meals.
- Ensure snacks and beverages are constantly available to residents.
- Maintain clean kitchen floors, sweep/mop, and empty trash regularly.
- Transport and store food and supplies safely.
- Attend pre‑meal stand‑up meetings before service.
- Operate and maintain kitchen equipment in a sanitary manner.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, 1‑3 years of cooking experience in hospitality or healthcare, a food‑handler’s permit, and the ability to read recipes, follow cleaning schedules, and operate kitchen equipment. Candidates must be able to work varied schedules, build positive relationships, and accept direction, while offering feedback and helping residents transition to community living.

- 1–3 years cooking experience in hospitality or healthcare settings.
- Valid food handler’s permit as required by state law/company.
- Ability to read and follow recipes, production guides, cleaning schedules, and logs.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with residents and team members.
- Capability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize, and work varied schedules including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
- Willingness to accept direction, share knowledge, give and receive feedback.
- Successful completion of background screening per Florida law, potentially including fingerprinting and Level 1/2 checks.
