Communicate changes, or key developments in GB market design to all levels of SSE that will impact on the delivery of BU activities and future strategy, disseminating complex information and advising on key risks and opportunities.
Work closely with stakeholders (Ofgem, Government departments, trade associations etc) to support change, guide and challenge 3rd party analysis, as well as using analysis to understand, inform and provide evidence for advocacy positions regarding market and policy matters.
Play an important role in driving SSE’s commercial success across each of the Energy Businesses, providing market economic insight that will help shape and influence strategic decisions to maximise commercial value.
Influence industry change through insight regarding economic principles and evidence-based representation of priorities including commercial interests of SSE’s Energy Businesses. This includes identifying, proposing and advocating for changes to market design and associated policy matters, formulation and ownership of consultation responses, and representation at industry forums.
