Required skills include advanced proficiency in fire protection design techniques, thermodynamics, fire dynamics, heat transfer, and fluid mechanics, as well as strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving abilities. Proficiency with industry‑standard simulation tools, MS Office, and the ability to travel up to 20% are essential.
Candidates must hold a Bachelor of Science in Fire Protection, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, possess a PE license in fire protection, and have a minimum of seven years (preferably eight) experience in building design consulting.
Physical requirements involve regular sitting, walking, standing, and lifting objects up to 25 pounds, with occasional driving, kneeling, and exposure to outdoor weather and noise.
