Associate Director, Civils Technical Lead - Water

Description

• Provide technical leadership, reviewing work produced by others to ensure timely, accurate outcomes.
• Lead design phases from feasibility studies through detailed design, preparing reports and technical specifications.
• Manage project delivery, controlling risk, budget, and schedule to achieve efficient execution.
• Ensure quality management and compliance with standards and regulations, offering interdisciplinary technical expertise.
• Drive work‑winning efforts through bid management, tender production, and proposal preparation.
• Contribute to resourcing and management of local and wider teams.
• Perform line‑management duties, guiding junior staff and conducting performance evaluations.
• Mentor junior team members, supporting their technical development and ICE chartership progression.

Requirements

• Hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Be chartered with a relevant institution such as ICE or CIWEM.
• Possess strong technical water sector experience and knowledge of UK codes and standards.
