Implement and monitor safety protocols for all facilities operations
Operational management, maintenance, and optimization of building systems across Irish portfolio
Lead facilities improvement projects from conception through completion
Monitor building performance metrics and implement optimization strategies
Provide improvement recommendations for senior management
Ensure full compliance with Irish health and safety regulations, building codes, and environmental standards
Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance scheduling
Coordinate reactive maintenance activities
Prepare technical specifications and manage contractor relationships
Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external service providers
Develop annual maintenance budgets and capital expenditure plans
Ensure compliance with Irish building regulations and industry standards
Manage system upgrades, retrofits, and new installations
Maintain comprehensive maintenance records
Oversee operation and maintenance of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire safety, and building automation systems
Analyze operational data to identify cost reduction and performance enhancement opportunities
Prepare detailed technical reports on building performance and maintenance activities
Conduct safety audits and manage statutory inspections and certifications
Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering (mandatory)
Minimum 3-5 years experience in building services engineering or facilities management
Hands-on technical expertise in mechanical and electrical systems required
Professional registration or working toward chartered status with Engineers Ireland (preferred)
Understanding of energy management principles and sustainability practices
Relevant facilities management certifications (advantageous)
Previous experience in commercial facilities or GMP facilities environment
Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and building management systems (BMS)
Thorough knowledge of Irish building regulations and health and safety legislation
Proficiency in reading technical drawings, specifications, and system documentation
Familiarity with statutory inspection requirements and certification processes
Comprehensive understanding of mechanical and electrical systems (HVAC, power distribution, lighting, BMS)
