Perform work safely and effectively. Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies.
Support post-bid project transitions and handoffs to operations teams.
Maintain and update historical cost data and unit pricing databases.
Analyze drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare detailed cost estimates for marine construction projects.
Identify and evaluate potential project risks and opportunities.
Participate in bid reviews, risk assessments, and value engineering exercises.
Stay current with industry trends, construction methods, and market conditions.
Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines. Work overtime and weekends as required.
Collaborate with design engineers, project managers, and field personnel to ensure constructability and accuracy of estimates.
Develop quantity take-offs, cost breakdowns, and pricing for labor, equipment, materials, and subcontractors.

Strong knowledge of marine construction methods, equipment, and materials.
Regular, reliable attendance.
3+ years of estimating experience in heavy civil or marine construction (e.g., ports, harbors, coastal structures).
Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment.
Willingness to travel and support projects across North America.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., HCSS HeavyBid, Hard Dollar, or similar).
