The Clerk of Works will observe and monitor on‑site archaeological activities, ensure work aligns with the agreed archaeological investigation strategy and quality standards, and use the reporting system to log site visits. They will provide toolbox talks, lead stakeholder visits, and collaborate with the Principal Contractor and archaeological subcontractors to complete works.
The successful candidate should have previous experience as an Archaeological Clerk of Works or supervisory fieldwork, be skilled at sharing historic environment information across teams, and be able to work flexibly across several projects while meeting deadlines. Strong written and verbal communication, organisational and analytical abilities, and a full driving licence are required.
