We are seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to lead multiple technically complex projects, reporting to the Chief Engineer. The role involves collaborating with architects, contractors, and other professionals, and communicating designs effectively while applying strong analytical and scientific principles.
- Lead and oversee structural engineering design from schematics through construction documents.
- Maintain high‑quality standards for Ballinger structural documentation.
- Coordinate with architects, contractors, and other disciplines to deliver integrated project documents.
- Act as structural construction administrator on assigned projects.
- Interface with clients on structural scope and present design solutions.
- Mentor structural designers and project engineers, fostering knowledge sharing.
- Assist the Chief Engineer with quality assurance, budgeting, peer reviews, and marketing initiatives.
- Participate in professional societies and internal staffing/education meetings.
- Develop expertise in complex building and renovation projects, especially in healthcare, academic, and corporate sectors.
- Produce basis of design reports, system matrices, preliminary design reports, specifications, and field visit reports.
- Write and review work plans, ensuring schedule adherence across disciplines.
- Perform field surveys and site visits, traveling up to 15% of time.
- Apply superior structural analysis using Bentley/RAM, STAAD, and finite element software.
- Ensure compliance with contractual, liability, and construction administration processes.

- Utilize CAD, Revit, Excel, and Word for drawing production and coordination.
- Demonstrate advanced client relationship and communication skills.
- Exhibit strong organizational, time management, and interpersonal abilities.
- Hold a BS/BEng/BAE in engineering (post‑graduate degree preferred) and PE registration.
- Bring 10+ years of structural engineering experience.
