Tasks

The in-house head of construction will conduct a one-week training program, after which the intern will be assigned to assist a senior project manager on their projects. -Track relevant vendors and their pricing. -Aid in file management, submittals, RFI’s, and change orders. -Support ongoing communication with clients during the project. -Daily site visits in various projects. -Help with the procurement and logging of samples. -Assist in managing and leading renovation projects from start to end, including preparing proposals/drawings, executing material takeoffs, and preparing cost estimates. -Participate in daily/weekly project management meetings.

Construction Project Management Internship, Location NYC Candidates must have a background in construction (Education/experience). -Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. -Superior written and oral communication skills. -Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with AutoCAD and Revit is a plus. -Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or another related field from an accredited program. -Work effectively and cohesively in a team environment and is a team player. -Ability to quickly learn new and unfamiliar concepts and tasks.

Benefits

This position will give you the opportunity to familiarize yourself with different facets of the project's construction phases and participate in the business's day-to-day operations. This 6-month internship will lead to a Job as an Assistant Project Manager, and subsequently, a project manager position. Stipend (Months 5–6): $2,500/month + MetroCard You’ll be working with a dynamic group of industry-leading professionals with a wide array of knowledge in the construction and design field. This internship offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the construction industry, particularly in renovation projects. A full-time job as a project manager will be offered to an intern who proves themselves. Stipend (Months 1–4): $1,500/month + MetroCard
