- Setup and pickup of traffic counters and video cameras for traffic data collection
- Conduct safety analysis tasks for transportation and highway planning and design projects
- Assist with design plans by utilizing CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD and/or Microstation) that support highway and municipal designs of traffic signals, signing and striping, and technology systems
- Utilize GIS tools to complete data summary graphics and analysis
- Conduct technical traffic operations analysis using traffic modeling programs
- Assist traffic engineering staff as able and qualified with all variety of multimodal traffic engineering tasks including analysis, design, and study reports
- Participate in regular staff meetings and training opportunities, support a variety of project managers and practices with critical data and information for their projects

- Ability to work approximately 8 hours or more per week during the school year and potential to work additional hours during school breaks
- Undergraduate pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
- Ability to carry up to 25 pounds of equipment
- Ability to travel as needed for field reviews, client consultations, on-site inspections, etc.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, etc.)
- Strong writing skills
