Maneuvering truck in and out of minimum clearance spaces
Perform afternoon tasks, either continuing tasks from the morning or starting new ones
Interacting with customers or general public in a courteous manner along designated route
Cleaning loose trash off the truck or ground around truck
Notifying management of any issues along collection route
Transporting all collected solid waste to post-collection facilities
Before heading home, appropriately store equipment and lay groundwork for a smooth next day
Maintaining a clean site along roads and highways by tidying container spills that occur during dumping process
Driving and operating a Front Load Vehicle on assigned routes, mechanically collecting waste
Exert physical effort including pushing, pulling, bending and lifting items up to 50 lbs.
Submitting pre-trip and post-trip inspections and/or vehicle condition reports
Upon on arriving to work, meet with the team, assess all equipment and upcoming routes, and prepare for the day ahead
Using a key map and GPS to locate service addresses
Following safe operating practices, including lock out or tag out procedures

Knowledge of trucks, their components, and the basic maintenance requirements for safe operation
Sitting is required 75% of the time
Ability to control operations of equipment; maneuvering truck in and out of spaces, using mirrors to back distances of approximately 120 feet or more
Ability to kneel, crawl and climb
Possess a valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), Class 3
Minimum 1 year of commercial driving experience OR CDL school certificate
Use fine motor coordination with arm, hand, finger and leg dexterity
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
