Key responsibilities include managing all retention activities for an assigned service‑agreement portfolio, contacting each customer in writing 120 days before renewal, and re‑estimating contracts to reflect current labor rates and hours. The role aims for at least a 95 % renewal rate, prepares and participates in monthly service‑contract renewal meetings, and addresses customer concerns to secure acceptance before the renewal date.
The coordinator will manage a list of customers and their annual renewal dates, identify needs across fire alarm, sprinkler, and security systems, and upsell or expand services accordingly. Acting as the primary point of contact, they will build strong relationships, understand departmental contacts, collaborate with managers to improve service delivery, and share renewal status during weekly sales meetings.
Ideal candidates possess fire‑alarm, fire‑protection (sprinkler/suppression), or security industry knowledge, a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience), and prior over‑the‑counter sales or customer‑service experience. They must be proactive, skilled at problem‑solving, communicate effectively before large audiences, and demonstrate strong negotiation abilities and a competitive spirit.
